I've mastered perfectionI think the time has come to zone out the world
Sit in front of my laptop
And waste these years away

I spent all these years miserable,
But smiling on the outside
You know, I think I've found the cure to teenage sorrow

And flipped it around to my inside
Now I can even fake my smile to myself
My organs are frothing in disgust
They can no longer take this

What a foolish and selfish wish that I truly desire

What was it about you that I fell for anyway?
Was it a physical lust or your personality so fey?
Honestly you seemed to care the most whether I was alive or dead
But in reality I mistook your kindness; it was all in my head

The tip of his nose against my ear,
Jaw rested on my neck –
Perfectly placed to reach up and whisper
What I love to hear,
Those words I cherish more than life:
"I love you and I always will."

With the fair, rose.

They've got their graces
But it's them I'd chide
For while they fall for faces
I love you for what's inside.

I guarded my heart

Raindrops and ParanoiaI honestly hate the sound
Of raindrops falling to the ground.
I'm sure, with not a single doubt,
That this sound will forever freak me out.

The rain's constant pitter-patter,
For me, is such a distressing matter.
This may sound oh so very queer,
But I'm unwittingly filled with fear.

As the lightning scarily sets the sky aglow,
The howling winds blow and bellow.
But these are not what scare me the most,
Even if the winds sometimes sound like ghosts.

What I fear is the shocking clatter
Of the rain falling over my shelter,
Just like the heavy thud
Of the footsteps of a murderer out for blood.

Suddenly the room feels a whole lot

ForeverI feel so worthless, without any purpose,
You don't really need me, that's plain to see.
You want me to smile? I will for a while...
But deep inside, I will continue to hide,
This feeling of worthlessness that I just can't address.
When will I feel, really begin to heal?
My fear is never, I'll be like this forever.

Will you be the one that saves me?Maybe, you'll be the one that saves me
the one that takes my eyes away
from the pain I feel every day
In my body, but mostly in my mind

I hurt myself every day
With the thoughts I think
Not thinking about love
But about the possible pain

Is it that moment of stupididy where one lets their guard down,
And opens their vulnerabilities to someone?
Why would anyone want that?

Is it possible
To trust again and again after so many stabbings
In the back and the heart and the mind by those I once loved?
Why would anyone want that?

Could there possibly be
A person on this planet who can be trusted,
Who won't turn around and break me like all the others?

I've been wasting time.
With hopeless thoughts of my future.

It kills me not to to know it.
But it's a pointless thing to know.

Untitled Emotion

A shock wave rolls over my skin,
Lightning arcs through my veins,

I feel a flame in my eye,
Turning everything into a haze,

Heart pulsing,
To end someone else's beat,

Fight to contain,
What I should let free,

Feel the cringing muscles,
The quick spasms,

Brain quickly shutting it down,
Fighting to maintain control,

Trying to keep them down,
When all I wish is that I could unleash them instead…
